Material substitutions
The following general material substitutions are acceptable:
1. using low temperature carbon steel(LTCS) in lieu of carbon steel (CS)
2. using super duplex stainless steel (SDSS)in lieu of duplex stainless steel (DSS)
3. using nodular cast iron(ASTM A395, Grade 60-40-18 & 65-45-15) in lieu of grey cast iron (ASTM A126 Grade B)
4. using grade C95800 for aluminum bronze in lieu of grade C95500 (ASTM B148)
5. using nickel-aluminum bronze (ASTM B148, Grade C95500/C95800) in lieu of bronze (ASTM B62-C83600 and B584 –C90500)
other alternative material than the ones listed above, require explicit approval by purchaser
